The Adelphi & Dutch House
are conveniently
located in a premier position between the hill capital of Kandy
and the safari parks in the south of the island.
Superb walks and cool climate help
to make these two Hill Country villas the perfect destination for
a relaxing holiday or as a base from which to explore the
surrounding sights and southern Hill Country.
Bandarawela is said to have the best climate in Sri Lanka and is famously known
for its salubrious climes. At an altitude of 4,300ft, it is no wonder that so many
tea planters during the colonial period in Ceylon settled in Bandarawela and the
surrounding area.
Both the Adelphi and the Dutch House are positioned on a hillside with
magnificent panoramic views of the
three highest mountains in Sri Lanka.
The Adelphi is a
fully restored colonial holiday villa dating back to the late 30’s. The bungalow’s Art Deco design
features are reminiscent of the heyday of the colonial period in Ceylon. The
Adelphi's 5 guestrooms offer accommodation for the larger travelling party and
individual traveller.
The Dutch House-Bandarawela is a Cape-Dutch style villa which offers exclusive
use for each booked party.
